At the end of their Thursday night schedule, SF based neuroscientist and meditation guide, Nkechi Deanna Njaka leads a meditation practice for all levels. Nkechi’s dynamic background as an artist and scientist provides a unique perspective as she leads you through a journey to mindfulness. 411: One of our favorite craft fairs is moving the party online. Renegade Craft will be hosting their first ever digital market this weekend. The virtual fair will be just as beautifully eclectic as the in person show we all love, and will feature makers, artists, musicians and foodies. The team describes it as a choose your own adventure – for 2 hours each day, fair goers can discover one-of-a-kind virtual portals that will transport them into the spaces of participating creatives. 411: The weather will be perfect this weekend for a wildflower walk. The Sutro Stewards, the community non-profit with a mission of protecting Mount Sutro and connecting the public with the land, will take us all on a live virtual hike to see all the California native flowers in bloom. During the hike you’ll learn about our local native flora and how to identify plants in our neighborhoods. If we can’t be there in person, having a pro go live in the next best thing–start your Saturday with a virtual stroll through the poppies. // Donations Accepted.

411: Sold! Join in on the live action fun when Southern Exposure broadcasts their annual benefit art auction online. This year the event is celebrating the art community’s strength and resilience. On Saturday, legendry auctioneer Aaron Bastian will take live bids on select pieces –rounding out the night will include a participatory art experience led by designer Michael Swaine, entertainment from the SoEx community, and a live set by DJ FELA KUTCHii. All entry donations will go to support the organizations long running commitment to the arts in the bay area. 411: The free all-ages music fest in the SoFA district of San Jose is letting you stay home this year to enjoy all the sights and sounds from your very own sofa. With over 100 different performances scheduled – jazz, alternative, hip hop, pop, folk, metal, punk, ska, reggae, funk, soul, blues, and mash up DJs – literally something for everyone – they even have drag queens. They are also planning virtual interactive art experiences and have a few other fun things up their sleeves.
